Legally Blonde (Cupcake Theater) 2022

Brayden Hade, co-director of Legally Blonde at The Hollywood Majestic, brought the beloved musical to life with a vibrant, high-energy production that celebrated its empowering message of resilience and self-discovery. Running from April 1 through June 5, 2022, Hade collaborated with Christopher Jewell Valentin to create a visually dynamic experience, incorporating vivid colors, snappy choreography, and sharp comedic timing. The production followed Elle Woods’ journey from underestimated fashionista to a powerhouse Harvard Law graduate, capturing the humor, heart, and iconic musical moments like “Omigod You Guys” and “Bend and Snap.”

Hade’s direction infused Elle’s story with a fresh perspective, emphasizing her transformation not just as a personal triumph but as a testament to self-worth and breaking stereotypes. Featuring standout performances, including American Idol’s Margie Mays as Elle, the show earned praise for its engaging cast and lively stagecraft. By balancing the musical’s campy fun with its emotional depth, Hade delivered a production that resonated with audiences, proving that Elle Woods’ determination to “stay true to yourself” remains as inspiring as ever.
