Sistaahs! was not a play. It was a party.

While our other work deconstructs the psychological trauma of a script, this was a full-throated, high-camp celebration. Our thesis was simple: why just watch your favorite Halloween movie when you can drink with it?

We set out to create “The Black Flame Experience”—an unhinged, immersive, and unapologetically “extra” parody that drags the Sanderson sisters into a chaotic modern rager. This wasn’t a reverent shadow cast. It was a loving, meta-theatrical deconstruction, rebuilt with club bangers, audience participation, and a budget for neon that would make Xanadu blush.

Our staging choices were about maximum, ridiculous joy. We used our projections not for subtext, but for punchlines—staging a tragic ballad in the middle of a bleak, rain-swept K-Mart parking lot, or turning “I Put a Spell on You” into a full-blown, club-ready light show.

In this show, the fourth wall was just a suggestion. We didn’t want the audience to just watch the candle get lit; we wanted to hand them the matches. This was a show about creating a space for pure, unadulterated, “amok, amok, amok” fun.
